My husband is the stay at home parent and she loves him best. We hadn’t really planned on reversing roles, it just ended up making the most sense. In the tiny bits I spend with her before and after work, I notice myself tickling, running, jumping, growling; rough-housing just to get laughs. It took me a while to notice that this is the classic strategy of dads everywhere—maintaining a presence in your kid’s life by being over-the-top-fun.
